These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of https://capitalandcompute.net (the "Site"), operated by Capital & Compute. By using the Site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

Use of the Site

You may read and share our content for personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to misuse the Site, including by attempting to disrupt it, scrape it at a scale that degrades service, or access it in violation of applicable law.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time, including removing or revising content, retiring a tracker, or changing a URL. Nothing here is a commitment to keep any particular page, dataset, or figure available.

Automated access, scraping, and AI training

Reasonable automated access is permitted. Search engine and AI answer engine crawlers that respect our robots.txt are welcome, and machine-readable copies of the site's data are deliberately provided as JSON endpoints and an llms.txt so that you do not need to scrape rendered pages at all. Using those endpoints, with attribution, is the supported route.

What is not permitted is access at a rate or volume that degrades the Site for other readers, circumventing access controls, ignoring robots.txt, misrepresenting your user agent, or wholesale reproduction of the Site's content or datasets as a competing product. Where you use our figures, attribute them and link back, and carry the as-of date with any number, for the reasons set out in our disclaimer.

Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, all content on the Site (text, design, and graphics) is owned by Capital & Compute and protected by intellectual property law. You may quote brief excerpts with clear attribution and a link, but you may not republish substantial portions without our written permission.

Quoting a figure, a chart, or a short excerpt for reporting, research, commentary, or teaching, with attribution and a link, is encouraged and needs no permission. Facts and data are not themselves owned; the presentation, analysis, and written expression are.

Subscribing to the email list is optional and free. You will receive an email when a new post is published and nothing else, and every message carries a one-click unsubscribe link. We do not sell, rent, or share the list. Email delivery is handled by a third-party provider; what that means for your data is described in our privacy policy.

Figures reported on this Site originate with third parties, including model developers, benchmark maintainers, retailers, and index providers. We attribute them and we do not independently audit them. See our disclaimer for the limits on what those figures establish.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Capital & Compute from any claim or demand arising out of your misuse of the Site, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

Severability and waiver

These Terms, together with our privacy policy and disclaimer, constitute the entire agreement between you and Capital & Compute regarding your use of the Site, and supersede any prior understanding on that subject.
